Cookies in Use
Google Analytics and AdSense use cookies. You can opt out — we explain how.

1. Introduction

MacrosMeasure ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at macrosmeasure.com — a free collection of science-backed nutrition calculators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site.

This policy is effective as of April 9, 2026 and applies to all visitors from all countries, including the European Union (GDPR) and California (CCPA). By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

We have designed MacrosMeasure to be privacy-first by architecture: all nutrition calculations run locally in your browser. Your height, weight, age, and other health inputs are processed on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

A. Automatically Collected (via Google Analytics)

When you visit MacrosMeasure, Google Analytics automatically collects non-personally-identifiable information including:

  • IP address (anonymised — the last octet is masked)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device type
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring URL (how you found us)
  • General geographic location (country/city level)

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it solely to understand which calculators are most useful and to improve the site.

B. Calculator Inputs — NOT Collected

All calculation inputs (weight, height, age, activity level, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never sent to MacrosMeasure servers and is discarded when you close or refresh the page.

C. Contact Form Submissions

If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This data is processed by Formspree (our form provider) and used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not store form submissions in our own database.

D. Cookies

MacrosMeasure uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense. See Section 4 for full details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To improve calculator accuracy, user experience, and site performance.
  • To analyse traffic patterns and understand which tools are most used, via Google Analytics.
  • To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense — this keeps all tools free for users.
  • To respond to contact form enquiries and support requests.
  • To monitor site security, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to any third party for their own marketing purposes.
